![]() And I will always love him for it (along with everything else he's done). If incontrol had ANYTHING to do with that rule change, then he's basically just cured a headache I've had since 8th edition came out. Prominent esports commentator and retired StarCraft pro Geoff 'iNcontroL' Robinson died on Saturday, according to posts made on his Twitter account and Facebook page. By taking out the reference to failed hits in the re-roll rules you gain the ability to re-roll failed hits with a modifier. But the way those rules work, if you apply a negative modifier to something so that a roll which would normally pass would instead fail, you don't get to re-roll it because it counts as a "pass" at the point where you'd be allowed to re-roll it. The biggest, best thing they did with it is having basically every re-roll ability in the dex say something like "re-roll any hit rolls" instead of just "re-roll any FAILED hit rolls" which is super nice and more and more models are getting that as a rule.įor anyone who doesn't play, most of the time when you roll something it's just gonna be a pass or a fail, and certain characters/etc give you ability to re-roll fails. It's been excellent that GW has included competitive players like him in the design process of the game however, there's others on the team who have prefer to go unnamed, and it's definitely resulted in a more balanced game. Geoff 'inControL' Robinson Starcraft 2 Journey/Katowice Like many others, I was shocked to learn of the sudden death of Geoff iNcontroL Robinson last night when the news was announced. And even then, let's just remember he's 1 person on a team and judging by some of his statements, he still only had so much pull. Renegade Knights came out a week or so ago so that's probably the first real dex he's properly contributed to, and even that is mostly just a twisted mirror of Imperial Knights. This is due to the long amount of time between the writing of a dexes rules, and the time it takes to go to print and then actually hit stores. While he's been on the team for at least a year, he said he just missed the cut off for Genestealer Cults, and that was the most recent dex to hit the meta. Not taking anything away from him, but credit where it's due, that was probably the work of the rest of the team you have seen so far, and we'll see the impact of Geoff's contribution to testing in coming months actually. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors Geoff Robinson (Incontrol) passed away General Discussion Ciaus-2558 July 23, 2019, 12:32pm 44.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
